Doming Metal for Enamel

Giving some shape to metal before you enamel it makes it stronger. I learned how to shape copper pieces, then tried to enamel them. The enameling was done by sifting, so it didn't stick well enough to the edges. Putting the Klyr-Fire into a spray bottle (instead of applying with a brush) helped, but my technique needs some more work. These earrings were created using a kiln firing method. Copper is cut, filed and sanded. Fine glass powder is then layered on the copper and heated the piece with a kiln. These last two steps are repeated many times until the final look is achieved. Each of my products is an original. That´s why even the same item can be partly different from the photograph - as for the size, pattern or colour.
