Fennel is a warming herb that improves liver function and digestion.

Fennel can relieves gas, bloating, and can ease digestive discomforts.

Fennel is antispasmodic meaning it can help soothe smooth muscle cramping. Great for menstrual pain relief or stomach aches.

I make these for myself so I can have a sweet crunchy after dinner treat that supports my overall digestion and help my body to relax into sleep.

Here is the recipe:
1 cup fennel seeds
1/4 cup maple syrup

Pour seeds and maple into a pan and heat on medium for about 7-10 minutes stirring regularly. Be sure not to burn the maple syrup.

Pull off heat when seeds are crackling and stick together.

Allow to cool in a heat safe container and they will turn crispy after they cool.
