Hair Hack: How To Get Curls To Hold In Freshly Washed Hair

Curls hold better on "dirty" hair. But what if you just washed your hair? Maybe you can’t stand NOT washing your hair. I get the feeling of ‘dirty’ hair if you don’t wash it. Anna ⚰️🕸 on Instagram: "Hi guys! Here is the tutorial on my go-to heatless curls lately 🖤 I saw @servinglocks doing this on tiktok and I’m so glad I tried it! I split my ponytail into 4 sections and I spray each section with my @calianatural hydrating leave in to slightly dampen the hair and this also helps me to prevent frizz. I roll the Flexi rods under so that the curls fall towards my face, and the next day when I take them out, I usually add just a touch of oil to help reduce frizz. If I’m going for more of a “blowout” type look, I use a wide toothed comb and gently comb through the curls to loosen them up. I do this pretty much every night before bed and throughout the week the curls just hold better and better. Expanding on some of my tips - being realistic with your hair type; my hair is thick, coarse and wavy and it still doesn’t hold all day long.
