JBV on Instagram: "This App will change your (mechanical) life ••• I’ve only recently discovered MotionGen.io which is basically a sketching tool for mechanical linkages. Once you’ve sketched a linkage out, it maps out the motions that each link will follow. Now I am able to quickly sketch out a mechanism before moving it into Solidworks. It’s way easier to re-size and re-position the parts to see how each one will affect the output of the system. This has allowed me to speed up the mechanical design process, and get to 3D printing (the best part) so much faster. ••• #mechanicalengineering #linkagedesign #mechanical #mechanicaldesign #mechatronics #engineering #mechanism #peaucellier" Mechatronics Engineering, Sketching Tools, Mechanical Design, Design Sketch, Design Process, Speed Up, You Changed, 3d Printing, Motion

Linkages and levers - The basics  Mechanical linkages have the ability to convert a type of force into a different one, as well as convert direction into another direction or movement.  When two or more levers are interconnected, they form what is called a linkage. A linkage is a mechanism that transmits motion and force between the levers. By joining levers together, we can create a variety of different linkages with different properties and applications. Simple linkages are one type of link...
