A bundle of snowdrops ⁕ These flowers started with watercolour in my sketchbook, where I played around with layering lots of details using Prismacolour coloured pencils and Caran D’Ache pastels. After I finished the sketchbook page, I wanted to do something more with them but wasn’t sure what, so I scanned them, brought them into Procreate, & cut out the 3 flowers I liked the most as well as all the little doodled bits and bobs in between. Eleanor Doughty on Instagram: "My stylized landscape sketching workshop begins on Wednesday and there are a couple spaces left open. Link in my bio for more info about it! 👩‍🏫✍️

I thought this sketchbook page from my travels in New Zealand last year showed some good little stylized landscapes. Simplifying values and shapes makes it easier to capture scenery quickly and impactfully! Especially helpful when you're on a moving boat going across the sound.

The class starts from the basics: simple pen drawings building into value structure, then we finish by adding watercolor in limited palette (as seen on this page).

Gosh I miss Aotearoa....wanna go back and draw more landscapes..... I gathered a lot of pictures I took there to use as references in this class though :)" How To Make Moving Parts In Sketchbook, Sketchbook Environment, Sketchbook Moving Parts, Moving Pages In Sketchbook, Contextual Research Sketchbook, Sketchbook Pages, Pen Drawing, Creative Expressions, New Zealand

Helen Ward on Instagram: "Well, you asked for it!!
Here is a very wobbly process reel!

I had no tripod so the phone is in my left hand! Which was a bit weird as I would normally be using it to hold the paper down or move it around, but eh you get the idea!

Working on one of my loose sketchbook pages, using monotype print collage as a springboard to get me started and going from there.
Using compressed and willow charcoal in this clip.

I am attempting to make a small book of sketchbook pages including this one. It’s going good so far, quite excited although getting my head around how a 3mm printing ‘bleed’ works on a double page spread is so far a mystery….
