I had the idea of adding wall lights to the recently renovated snug area, but I wasn’t sure they’d look right against the shiplap wall panelling! I also didn’t have the patience for them to be hardwired in and I didn’t want the faff of filling in holes if I wanted to move them in the potentially near future!! This is part 1 and part 2 will be the wall light hack coming in a couple of days Here are a few extra tips I couldn’t get in the voiceover, inspired by the wall panelling guide from @bandq_uk! To work out even spacing I find drawing it out easiest! Roughly lay up against your wall how many panels you want. And then sketch it. Each panel strip is 10cm. So for me wall width was 310cm. I had 7 panels (10cm each) = 70cm. On my drawing this left me with 6 spaces between each panel. So 310-70= 240cm . 240cm/6 spaces = 40cm even gap between each panel piece. Here are a few extra tips I couldn’t get in the voiceover, inspired by the wall panelling guide from @bandq_uk!

To work out even spacing I find drawing it out easiest! Roughly lay up against your wall how many panels you want. And then sketch it. Each panel strip is 10cm.

So for me wall width was 310cm. I had 7 panels (10cm each) = 70cm. On my drawing this left me with 6 spaces between each panel. So 310-70= 240cm . 240cm/6 spaces = 40cm even gap between each panel piece.
