If your sand is too fine, it can cause respiratory issues for your chickens. •If you can’t find something coarse like washed construction sand at your nearby home improvement store, I always have success on Facebook marketplace. We found a local construction company that delivered ours, and they called it arena sand. •I’ve tried a lot of different tools for cleaning the sand and this shovel is by far the best one I’ve ever used. The holes are the perfect size fo
