Howard Roark - Architect Howard Roark, Fine Actors, The Fountainhead, Rendering Drawing, Fountain Head, Frank Lloyd Wright Homes, Mcm Art, Empty Frames, Studios Architecture

The best reason to watch the splendid film adaptation of Ayn Rand's novel "The Fountainhead" are the great (uncredited) matte painting by Chesley Bonestell, the (uncredited) illustrations by Harold Michelson, and the top-notch model and effects work and superb art direction. Doesn't make up for the ordeal of watching fine actors trying to work with the most didactic, clumsy screenplay ever written, but it helps.

The Fountainhead Art, Howard Roark, Looking To The Sky, The Fountainhead, Drawing Photo, Rem Koolhaas, Ayn Rand, The Writer, Frank Lloyd

I read "The Fountainhead": it is said that the writer, Ayn Rand, used Frank Lloyd Wright as model for the main character, Howard Roark. When reading I always had Le Corbusier in my mind; probably because at some point in the book Roark is looking to the sky admiring one of his own designs, and I had seen that picture in the book "Delirious New York" by Rem Koolhaas; I used it for this drawing.
