I have started with a 300cm long (118,11 inch) slab of Iroko wood as shown on the left. I cut it in 2 parts to make a dining table and from the remainder a coffee table. I sanded it all down to p320 and I have finished it with danish oil in 4 coats. I used threaded inserts and bolts to attach the steel legs to both of the tables. To finish it off I added black bolt caps to blend the bolts. I am very happy with the result. It is my first time working with Iroko wood and wood with a live edge.
