My husbands family is toxic

Yes!!! You can’t expect to be hateful to your child or child’s spouse (or both), or to have not been there for your child growing up and/or as an adult and think you automatically get to be in your grandkids lives because you’re “a grandparent”. That’s like expecting to be a grandparent to kids that belong to a child you placed for adoption. Doesn’t make sense. If you’re toxic to means my husband and treat us poorly, we don’t want our kids around that or to see someone treating us that way…
