97K views · 813 reactions | Fixing tight and achy shoulders for life requires a multifaceted approach that addresses several key areas: mid-back mobility, shoulder mobility, strengthening the rotator cuffs, and effectively strength training the surrounding muscles of the shoulder. Here’s how each component contributes to healthier shoulders:

1️⃣ Mid-Back Mobility: The thoracic spine (mid-back) plays a crucial role in overall shoulder health. Limited thoracic mobility can place extra stress on the shoulders during overhead movements and daily activities. Exercises like thoracic rotations and foam rolling can improve mid-back mobility, reducing the load on your shoulders.

2️⃣ Shoulder Mobility: Adequate range of motion in the shoulder joint is essential for preventing tightness and discomf Mobility Shoulder, Rotator Cuff Muscles, Shoulder Girdle, Thoracic Spine, Shoulder Mobility, Shoulder Workouts, Face Pulls, Strength Training Program, Arm Circles

The shoulder CAR (Controlled Articular Rotation) is a way to take your shoulder through its full range of motion. Doing this every day will help to ensure that you maintain the strength and mobility of your shoulder.

What if a certain angle of this motion hurts? Just reduce the range of motion. If lifting the arm overhead hurts, skip that portion of the movement and instead make a half circle or swing the arm behind you at the height of your shoulder rather than over your head.
