An escape to the chateau. A place of dreams. I’m genuinely at a loss of where to begin. It’s not every day a girl gets to live out the life of her dreams, swanning around a chateau in the French countryside for a week. Chateau D’Ax dates to the 1400’s and although it’s been added to over the years, it retains such warmth and charm. Original features galore; ancient timber beams, spiral stone staircase, fireplaces in every room, the occasional cracked floor tile. Each and every imperfection…

Built in the year 1000, and with a storied history of ownership that takes in Catherine de'Medici, Diane de Poitiers, and the Prince de Broglie, the château at Chaumont is now open to the public as a centre for the arts, culture and nature.
