I am embarking on a journey of prayer and meditation. I am applying the SOAP method. SCRIPTURE - First you read the above bible verse OBSERVATION - Write down your personal observation about this verse. I invite you to meditate on this verse and soak in the meaning. APPLICATION - How can you walk it out? How can you apply this verse to your life today? Can you apply it to the way you love, lead, forgive, or look at the world today? PRAYER - Finally you write your prayer to the Lord.

Some get up early in the morning to read, meditate, and pray. Others do so during their lunch break. You might find that this can be done early in the evening or before you go to bed. Some enjoy reading the Bible in the morning and again before retiring. Thus they “read it . . . day and night,” or regularly. (Josh. 1:8) The important thing is to buy out time from less important things for daily meditation on God’s Word.​—Eph. 5:15, 16.
