Using the wall is highly beneficial for you if you’re struggling to get into the posture from the floor or even if you want to refine your alignment. Keeping the knees bent and coming in the tips of your toes all the while pushing the wall away stacks your hips, spine and shoulders in one line. Focus on deeper exhalations as the inhalations will naturally be shorter as the diaphragm moves toward the chest, compressing it. Relax and keep your awareness on your breath.
