❤︎s are for games that are very special to me.
I love video games and I've been playing them since I was 4. I like making lists and writing little reviews on here for fun.
Take a shot every time I call a game "cute".

In Tail Concerto, you play as a dog named Waffle, and you pilot a mech that can shoot bubbles. You go after kittens that are wreaking havoc and trap them in bubbles so you can catch and arrest them. It's fun and similar to Ape Escape, albeit with less variety in the behavior of the little guys you need to capture.
Being an early 3D platformer, the controls are cumbersome - it's difficult to steer your character and you have little control over the camera. The final platforming sequence was very annoying, but other than that, the controls didn't bother me too much. The difficulty is very forgiving - falling off a platform into the void only damages you a little bit, and I found the combat to be challenging but not frustrating.
My favorite thing about Tail Concerto is the story and the characters. Sections of the game that are important to the story are voice acted, and there are also occasional 90s anime style cutscenes. This all adds a lot of charm. There are a few writing errors (such as Waffle warning a character with "you don't know what (villain) is capable of" before he is supposed to know who said villain is), but I still have become very invested in this steampunk world of anthropomorphic dogs and cats. It has a good balance between silly and serious. I'm very excited to check out Solatorobo next.
