I've not played Sims 3 nor Sims 2 before, so I can't compare it with anything to know if it's better or worse.
What I do know is that the most entretaining part is character creation and the making of the house. After that, even if you have DLC, it starts getting more and more boring.
I do have some DLC and I think I would not like this game that much if I didn't have all of those.

It was very entrataining because I played it with a friend and we both kept on overanalyzing the plot and making stupid comments and jokes about it. But overall I think it's pretty good.
I hate that we found out about walking faster at the end of the game, we were walking so slowly it was excruciating.
I don't have either a PlayStation nor an XBox so I killed 2 characters for not knowing how to use a joystick. Pretty funny tho, my friend almost killed me.

I can't believe the detail of the desing, both visual and sound, it feels so real.
I remember thinking that it would be bettet if you could fight the different villains but now that I think about it, the game is always trying to make you feel like those still are your coworkers, which makes it more unlikely for Caz to want to fight them, so it wouldn't make sense if you could.
I loved the ending.
I really enjoyed it.
