Shipping policy

Bembien ships worldwide:

Shipping starts at $5 within the U.S., and is determined by total weight.
Enjoy free ground shipping on U.S. orders above $350
Expedited shipping is available within the U.S. for an additional cost.
International shipping is calculated at checkout.

Final shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

Orders with a value of $550+ require a signature for delivery. To further protect your shipment, we strongly recommend opting for Route Shipping Insurance at checkout.

International shipments are shipped via DHL Express. International customers are responsible for all duty and taxes associated with the importation of merchandise. Bembien is not responsible for import duties and taxes associated with any international orders.

We want you to receive your new bag as quickly as possible! You will receive an email containing your tracking information once your order ships out.

Timing for Expedited Shipping within U.S:

If you place an expedited order before noon EST, you can expect your order to be shipped that same day. If your order is placed after noon EST, your order will be shipped the following business day. Orders placed during the weekend or on a holiday will be shipped the following business day.

Timing for International Orders:

It typically takes 2-5 business* days to process your order. If you place your order during the weekend or on a holiday, we'll start processing your order on the following business day. Once processed, orders are shipped by 5pm Monday - Friday from one of our two New York City locations. Please note: International orders are subject to be flagged in customs for collection of duties and tax on imports. In this scenario, shipping time can be significantly delayed and in some cases the customer is required to retrieve their package from the customs office.

* Please allow for slightly extended processing and shipping during busy times of the year, such as the holidays or when your order was placed as part of a site wide sale.

Local Pickup (NYC Only):

In-person pickup is available at our Brooklyn Studio (35 Noble Street, Brooklyn NY 11222). If the item you have ordered is in-stock and available for pickup, Local Pickup will appear as an option at checkout. Local Pickup orders are typically ready within 1-business day.

Sustainability:

All Bembien shipments are 100% carbon neutral. CO2 emissions generated by your order are calculated and offset by investments we make in GreenPlaces reforestation projects around the world.

Lost or Damaged Packages:

You have the option to add Green Package Protection with Route to your cart at checkout for 2.5% of your order value. Route provides protection for shipments that are lost, damaged, or stolen. Read more about Route’s Package Protection Policies here. We strongly recommend this option, especially for orders valued over $500.

If there was an issue with your delivery and you paid for Green Package Protection, please submit a claim here.

If you chose not to add Green Package Protection at checkout and your package appears to be lost, please email us at customerservice@bembien.com. We will open an investigation with the shipping carrier to attempt to locate your item. Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds or replacements for items that have been marked as delivered. Bembien is not liable for lost, damaged or stolen items for orders which did not opt-in and pay for Green Package Protection with Route.
