I made a post about how the events of Majora’s Mask were the fault of the Happy Mask Salesman and the four Giants. Now here is my fic based on this idea.
So we now have a new trailer for the Breath Of The Wild sequal and a title: Tears Of The Kingdom.
To be honest, I’m not super excited about it. Breath Of The Wild is so different from typical Zelda games in terms of gameplay that it never felt to me like I was playing a Zelda game. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy playing it. But I’ve never handled change well.
I’m also not too fond of how they ditched the three Golden Goddesses - Din, Farore, and Nayru - in favour of just having Hylia and a Monotheistic world build. Even when Hylia was first introduced in Skyward Sword it didn’t seem right, and I wondered ‘Where do the Golden Goddesses fit into this?’. Hopefully they’ll make a comeback.
Lastly - and I might be alone in this - Link still doesn’t have his signature green tunic and long pointy hat, and this annoys me. That has been the Hero’s garb since the first Zelda game, and the fact that you have to go through so much effort and beat the dungeons in order to get it in Breath Of The Wild was absurd. Even moreso since by the time you can get it, you’ll have a load of better stated gear and upgrading it needs large amounts of the stupidly rare Star Fragments.
