There is a version of S4CAS Tools on Nexus that claims to be updated but it's a singe link in a text file. What it leads to is spyware, avoid.

Do NOT download or follow links from these fake mods:

•     “S4 CAS Tools” on Nexus from user fubruss
•     “Loading Screen Randomizer” on Nexus from user fubruss
•     anything else from the Nexus user fubruss.

These are NOT the Sims mods they claim to be. They are text files with links leading to malware.

No legitimate mod download will EVER consist of only a text file.  Be alert for other versions of this way of spreading malware.

If you downloaded either of these, delete them NOW and run a virus scan.

NOTE: This malware does NOT require that you run the game for it to install itself, and is not what ModGuard is designed to detect and stop.

This is also another case of mod-spoofing, using the names of legitimate mods. The legit mods are S4 CAS Tools by the late CmarNYC (Mod the Sims, dated 18 March 2023) and Loading Screen Randomizer by Tesuto (Mod the Sims, dated 9 January 2024).

Windows (Star) & Mac (Aurora) Hotfix for CAS export

Hi all, Studio updated to fix a bug that caused CAS items to look wrong in the game. If you use Studio to make new CAS mesh items, please update.

As some of you know, my sister and I have been taking care of some homeless cats (25 cats and kittens as of today), and I arranged a small cat shelter/catio in an abandoned yard in my neighborhood for them. My sister has moved out and now has other responsibilities and can no longer help me, at least not every month.

I am now the sole caretaker of my sister's cats, our homeless ones and my own. I've managed to do this for over 3 months, but now I'm really struggling financially. I've spent all of my savings on the shelter and I'm drowning in debts, I can't do this alone anymore 😞

Hot fix for Studio Star (Windows)

This version (3.2.1.6) will fix the slot editor, which was inadvertently broken in the last version.

Please note, no update is needed for Aurora, as this problem did not occur in the Mac version.

In the last update several issues were inadvertently introduced that caused crashes and vertex color problems when working with meshes. These issues have been addressed in both Studio versions.

Both versions also include support for the new CAS texture introduced by EA in the last patch (color shift mask).

Studio updates for Crystal Creations pack and patch

Hi All, Studio (Windows & Mac versions) updates for the new stuff pack and associated patch.

EA added a new CAS texture with this stuff pack that is still not fully incorporated into Studio. That will be included in a subsequent update that will be out as soon as possible. The changelogs are in the download threads.

Relying on ModGuard? Stay Up to Date

TwistedMexi's ModGuard tool for Sims 4 already has a v1.1 update. The most effective way to stay as up to date as possible for that tool depends on which you're more likely to see first.
