The modern corporate executive is as unto a Medieval king who fully believes himself to be guided by the hand of God, insofar as a corporate executive is a man whose sole job is to make plans and decisions and who then makes those plans and decisions in a manner utterly and completely divorced from any facts or information about the consensus reality the rest of us live in, and so the quality of the planning and decision-making process cannot possibly be improved above random chance
“How come everything has to be a committee and a discussion” because we’ve seen what happens when you let one idiot with a big plan bottom-line too many things. We’ve all seen what happens.
