This time Chyp is letting her feelings for David be known (of course she had to pick the most complicated boy). Guess there was always a bit of a crush there long before the curse, but it’s what got them to ultimately spend more time together. Things are certainly complicated and for a very long while David wouldn’t allow himself to feel any sort of connection like it, but maybe it will change after his most recent adventure and he can accept it again.

Chyp and David go way back as the halfling owns a tavern that David’s old adventuring gang would frequent while in the area. So she knew him before he was cursed. Now that he is, he still frequents the tavern as it’s one of the only places that will accommodate him as he is now. Plus it’s nice to have a person around who doesn’t just see the curse.

Orin is an alarmingly terrifying sorcerer and not a fellow you want to be on the receiving end of his magic, he has quite the affinity for lightning. Every spell he has he will transmute to the crackling energy and give him enough reason to play around, he will summon an aspect of the very dragon that awakened his abilities.

David and his group were walking to the next town on the map when a strange girl with an owlbear came by and gave a perhaps unintentionally threatening, very vague warning about a bridge up ahead. She came around again after when they actually got to the bridge, and after a little bit of trying to beat around the bush to give an answer about said bridge, she finally just showed how to cross. Quietly.

The others crossed just fine and Syl saw why they had to be quiet, there was a massive alligator under it. David had absolutely no chance of crossing quietly, so he had to take a running leap over it. He made the jump on the opposite side of the bridge to the gator but the sound of his galloping hoofbeats still alerted it and it made a lunge at him as he was jumping over. It didn’t bite him, grazed him at best, but it’s not a bridge he’s eager to cross again.
