madonna’s review published on Letterboxd:
i'm destroyed, ruined, screaming, crying how can it be possible that all you masochists love this movie so much with that damn ending!!! i'll never be able to recover from this
although i've mixed feelings bc i feel like they were two different movies in one, at the beginning, i didn't like the broadway-style musical part and all the songs with exactly the same silly melody and choreographies, in every scene i thought god please don't let them start singing again, i tried to like it but sadly i couldn't connect with that (saying this, i feel like her when she told him she didn't like jazz), but when the romance arrived, when the jazz and feelings appeared, i discovered a new love..
the story is beautiful, the aesthetics, the concept, the photography and performances, if there is something to highlight it's the chemistry that they have, they transcend the screen and make u smile every time they look at each other, the sequence of the scenes in the cinema and the planetarium made me believe in love again
