Ronin

Ronin

A tense and terse thriller, where spies and special agents without wars to fight work as mercenaries to complete a mysterious job. The lean script keeps the pacing interesting even during the planning and character beats, but it’s the action that really elevates Ronin.

Ruthless efficiency is the name of the game. It’s thrilling to see these consummate professionals unleash their deadly skillsets for their own ends rather than as part of a job/mission: the dirty grey mortality of a crime thriller but everyone is an ex-spy and former agent.

And the car chases...the chases in Ronin have the grit and heaviness of old-school car chases but replace the muscle cars and streets of LA or San Francisco with the narrow exotic alleys and roads of Nice and Paris. They’re all intense and immaculately choreographed
