Akira Kurosawa (黒澤明) is one of the most critically acclaimed and admired directors of all time. Personally, he is my favourite director, characterised by his ability to incessantly create masterpieces. Therefore, I am embarking on this journey to dissect his whole cinematic career, and finally get round to finishing his filmography. However, I wanted to be able to understand him and his films to a greater extent. Therefore, I will be watching more than just his directorial works: I will watch every film he has ever worked on, every documentary about him and every adaptation of his films. Of course, this will be limited by availability of some of these films, but I will update this list to add those titles if and when they become available to me. To make it easier, I have split it into chapters as follows:
Chapter 1: Directorial Features (1-31)
Chapter 2: Documentaries (32-65)
Chapter 3: Non-Directorial Features (66-102)
Chapter 4: Adaptations (103-115)
Chapter 5: The Missing Pieces
