1. the word/verb “hail from” is a very old way of saying “comes from” or “is from”

It’s definitely not used in speech or writing anymore, unless you wanted to be very dramatic and funny! 😄

but you might hear it in a movie,
ex: Thor: I hail from Valhalla!

The only time “hailing” is used is in the word “ride-hailing.” ride-hailing is when someone calls for a “ride/transportation” and a driver comes. Uber is a ride-hailing company.

the noun hail is also frozen rain 🌧️ and this is a common word

2. from is natural and common. it is a neutral word. sentence two means maybe the entertainment agency owns the performance group’s music/art/etc, but maybe they only have a contract with the performance group.

3. “belonging to x” means the property of someone or a company. This performance group belongs to one of the biggest entertainment agencies = The entertainment agency owns the performance group.

Sony recently purchased 50% of Michael Jackson’s songs. The songs now belong to Sony. (50% belongs to Sony)

The word belongings = a formal way of saying, things that someone or a company owns.

B: Yes! I lost these cards one month ago!

instead we just say belong/belongs
