We just returned form a 6 night getaway to the Badlands of South Dakota. The goal was to photograph the milky way as much as possible.......We got lucky the first 2 nights...Here is one of the images I captured after scouting for an interesting foreground to accompany the milky way sky. The foreground was taken just as the last rays from the sun illuminated the nearby cliffs. Then it was just a matter of waiting for about another 1 and 1/2 hours to get the sky shots.
