Bold blooms cards

Hi everyone! It's no secret I love all things floral. Paper, stamps and dies -I love them all! My latest obsession is with the new flower die set from Spellbinders called Be Bold Blooms! I spent a few hours one day cutting all the pieces from many colors to have on the ready. Here are a few of the cards I made with them. Welcome to Make the Cards Challenge #60! This week, it is a technique challenge - use a black cardstock background. Black can be overwhelming so I decided to offset it with very bold colours. I chose bright pink and green shades. The black cardstock was embossed with a floral embossing folder. I die cut all the floral and greenery pieces and inked many of the pink ones for additional interest. They were all assembled and adhered to the embossed base. I had so many flowers and leaves leftover from my previous card that I decided to make another. This time using less flowers.The Memory Box Matinee Rectangle was used to cut a panel from white cardstock. I used the second largest die. This gave a smaller canvas, if you will, to arrange the flowers on. I decided to dry emboss it using the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder. I love this set of Be Bold Blooms dies from Spellbinders. There are different sized flowers and leaves and they layer together to give a lot of visual interest. I also cut some larger leaves using the My Favorite Things Layered Leaves die. Dimension to the center of the flower was added by using a darker hue of pink ink and ink blending with a mini blending brush.The layout was inspired by a similar card made by Jennifer McGuire.
