Russian Artist John Fenerov, has a keen eye for detail, that helps bring out the features of his models and himself, in one of the portraits, to achieve a very realistic look, even though you would not call these drawings hyper realistic. While this is far from true, let me reiterate: ALL artists should learn to draw. A transfer will never compensate for poor drawing skills, no matter how detailed it is. This technique is not new. The oil transfer (and other similar transfer methods) have been utilized for centuries by some of the greatest masters in history. Many of these ancient transfer techniques would damage or destroy an artist’s original drawing in the process (pouncing, for example). This method (printing a copy of your drawing first) saves time when scaling to a larger canvas size — without the need to destroy your original drawing.
