Pro tip, if you want a brighter subject and darker background: don’t let a lot of light in (don’t make the scene bright). Want a brighter, more ambient image? Let in more light. This is why setting your ambient light beforehand is important. Your ambient settings will completely transform the way your flash photos look and feel.
