It was surprising just how many stitches there were in this week's ornament--it took much longer to finish than I would have expected! Of course, I added to my work by incorporating some back stitching around the little windows and changing many of the colors of the houses and their roofs. I thought it might be kind of fun to do a timeline of my Glitter Village by Country Cottage Needleworks...sort of a slow unveiling....;) I started Glitter Village back in December of 2018, with Glitter House 1 & 2. I had so much fun creating the best Christmas gingerbread houses and I love how they turned out. They were so easy and will last forever! I used premade paper mache cardboard houses, acrylic paint, puff paint, cellophane, small wreaths, pearls, glitter, and more glitter. I love the pink Christmas theme and now I just have to decide where I want to style these. Of course, I have about ten different ideas!
