Anyway, this was shot in a cornfield in Nuevo, CA which is by Lake Perris for those that know the area (see map). I originally set up to do a long exposure since the clouds were moving toward me. Before I do long exposures I always shoot a few normal exposures in case I want to blend in some areas of the LE shot. But this shot turned out better than I expected so I decided to use this instead. Canon 5D mkII, Canon 17-40 f4@19mm, f13@1 sec, ISO 100

The Lake Perris State Recreation Area opened in 1973 and became the southernmost reservoir in the 701-mile California State Water Project. When 80 percent full, the lake’s elevation is 1,560 feet above sea level, covering 1,800 surface acres. Activities include fishing, water sports, bird watching, hiking, rock climbing, camping, horseback riding and visiting the Ya’i Heki’ Regional Indian Museum.
