You can then use them to build words, too! You can refer to your morpheme walk when you are creating a word matrix or exploring a word. When decoding multi-syllabic words, it’s helpful to find prefixes or suffixes to help break the word into smaller parts. Having this up to refer to can help with that.   A little caveat: One thing I would change is I wouldn’t have “roots” and “bases” separated. I would instead use the terms “bound base” and “free base”. I have been using the terms base words and roots incorrectly I think… I had defined base word as words that can be stand alone words on their own and also can have prefixes a Morpheme Wall, Morphemes Teaching, Morphology Anchor Chart, Morphology Activities, Morphology Word Wall, Base Words, Prefixes And Suffixes, Free Base, School Things
