Not my usual post…it’s my birthday and I’m honoring it by showing gratitude. I’d never want to relive my childhood. Even though I never went without food, clothing, or shelter, I didn’t have body autonomy nor could I live in my truth or have a lot of choices. I didn’t get to go through emotions expressively… I had to hold it in, if it weren’t a smile. No one understood my drive for the sport or wanting to keep my body in shape.
