brief background information:

Elsa was the first born to King Agnarr and Queen Induna, with her little sister following close behind. Though many would say a son was more preferable to take the throne, the King didn’t care. Elsa was the Crown Princess and was raised with all the best tutors and educators her family could find. 

But tragically, the monarchs died at sea when Elsa was just 18. Thrust into a position of power that she had no choice but to accept, the mourning Queen did all she could to do right by her people, even going so far as to close the gates of the kingdom from outsiders- except to traders, leaving the outside world to let their imaginations wonder about the enigmatic kingdom. 

Now, it is her first year introduced to society. Her privy council INSISTED that she travel to England to find a king, but Elsa has little to no interest in doing so. Perhaps, maybe the right person could tear down her icy facade.

 1. the gates of Arendelle had been closed for years after the deaths of the former monarchs, King Agnarr and Queen Induna. Trade had been ongoing with various, but little was known about the small kingdom and its new Queen. The gates of Arendelle have been open for a few years now, but still very little is known about the kingdom or the current queen. Except, Rapunzel seems to know much about her - she is, after all, the queen’s cousin. 

2. thrust into the throne at a young age, elsa has dedicated herself to taking care of her kingdom and people. but rumor is… she never wished to be queen in the first place.

Rapunzel - she is Elsa’s cousin. Her mother and Elsa’s father were siblings. She writes to Rapunzel often, and hopes that the social season will be one where she can get closer to one of the only family members she has left.

another social season is upon us,  

and we only hope that this year is as advantageous as the last. with a fresh brood of hopeful ladies and gentlemen, it’s hard not to see the potential for fortunate matches this season. however, it may be that never before has quite so much scandal existed in a group of young singles. it seems as if this year’s mass of young ladies and eligible gentlemen seem to have a history of cold feet. one broken engagement is certainly enough to gossip about but several? 

          one might certainly begin to question their devotion to commitment.

fear not, dear readers, as i am intent on keeping you abreast of all the latest gossip for this year’s season. and there’s sure to be plenty of talk, what with the abundance of royalty this year. rumor has it that her royal highness QUEEN CASSANDRA OF SPAIN  is in want of a husband. we do hope this one lasts longer than her first. the question is, which young soul will catch her eye? perhaps she should consider conversing with lady ANNE BOLEYN, who seems to be perfectly adept at catching the eye of kings.

however, it seems that where royalty leads, the unscrupulous will surely follow. many have seen the infamous  LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR  lurking about in polite society. in any other season it would be reasonable to wonder whether or not he belonged in polite society. but in the company of lord courtesy NIKLAUS MIKAELSON and his grace DAMON SALVATORE. and with the rumors flying of the mysterious disappearances surrounding lord MALACHAI PARKER, we wonder if he should be included among their ranks as well.

but along with the mystery surrounding this year’s hopefuls, we would be amiss if we did not pay mind to this years diamonds. of course there is the much beloved  RAPUNZEL CARTER, charming her way through the likes of nobility and royalty alike with not so much as a whiff of scandal about her. or the mysterious lady of bulgeria, NATALIA PETROVA. our eyes are certainly on the tragic former lady CLEIONA BELLOS. and of course, this year’s royal catch is sure to be his royal highness LEONARDO KENTHILL, the prince of greece, a doting older brother and next in line for the throne, he’s certainly the one to charm.

brief background information: Lord Thomas had previously hailed in England, but the Hammonds moved to the colonies due to the possibilities of a scandal that surrounded the boy.  It’s no matter – the Hammonds are making a name for themselves as Richard Hammond (known to his friends as Bud) has found himself in the newly formed houses of legislature across the pond.  It’s all very pish posh and as it’s been years, Elaine Hammond thought it was time to send her sons back to the ton to their grandmother Margaret to see if she can get them wed.  He has a twin brother named Douglas who has also come back to the ton with him.
any pre-existing scandals:  there was a rumor that Thomas had been spotted in the gardens during his first social season, and the family moved to the colonies before the social season that year was up.

brief background information:

Her father, the Duke, refused to remarry after her mother, the Duchess, died giving birth to Cleiona. Her older sister had an established engagement with a Marquis in her season, just three years prior to Cleiona’s own presentation, but Emilia ended the engagement via a public announcement and a private threat issued to her father. Corvin chose not to force his daughter to continue the engagement, relying on his status as a Duke to protect Emilia and Cleiona’s reputations. Months later, Emilia fell ill with a mysterious illness and passed away just a few weeks after first displaying symptoms.

The family’s prospects then fell to Cleiona. Hoping to recover some of the Bellos’ upstanding reputation, Corvin initially arranged for Cleiona to enter a quick engagement to a family friend, Aron Lagaris, heir to an earldom. Corvin was unaware that Cleiona and Aron had actually slept together at a party the year prior and that Aron liked to lord the secret over Cleo’s head. Despite slogging through the weight of grief, she possessed a clear enough frame of mind to know she did not, under any circumstances, wish to marry Aron Lagaris. She demanded her father break off the engagement, but was denied her request. 

Fate works in peculiar ways, though. A few short weeks later, Lady Cleiona Bellos found her father dead in his study. With no surviving male heirs, the Dukedom died with him. Orphaned and no longer the daughter of a Duke, Cleiona has been taken in as a ward of the Damora’s, a highly influential family in society. There is word that by taking on the late Duke’s daughter, the Earl Gaius Damora hopes to be granted the holdings and title of the late Duke. When Aron Lagaris approached Gaius about his engagement to Cleiona, Gaius informed him that it was to be broken. She feared that Aron would share that they had been intimately involved, but he shockingly kept it to himself. She’s relieved to no longer be engaged to the likes of him, but now faces the reality of needing to make an excellent match and quickly, so that no further scandals could ruin her reputation. In some way, perhaps she should be grateful for the level of horrific tragedy that has befallen her family in so short a time, as it plays upon the sympathies of many.

One of the richest families currently known in the nation, and while his elder brother, Elijah, holds the title in the family upon the death of their father, he enjoys the freedom that being only second in line comes with. He’s traveled the continent, and rumors follow after him of potential scandals. It is his family’s hope that he will curb those vivacious appetites and settle down… soon. Incredibly close to his family, for all the drama that might arise between members, even if his upbringing wasn’t the most loving and friendly at times. Perhaps that is even why he ‘acts out’ so much, but one may never know. 

any pre-existing scandals: Rumors abounded (for a time) that his birth was that of an affair on his mother’s part, but all who know the truth are dead and gone, some through ‘mysterious’ circumstances, and it couldn’t be proven one way or the other. brief background information: Andréa Labonair is the only child of Théodore and Justine Labonair, whom are the King and Queen of France. Her parents were unable to conceive another child after her, which had been quite the blow to them, but in spite of her father especially desiring a son, Andréa was raised with affection and care as well as strict preparations to take over as the queen when her mother and father passed or stepped down. As a child, she was betrothed to a noble man Jackson Kenner when she was a child; however, the pair of them became close friends as they grew up and she did not come to see him as a lover, even though he did love her. Andréa viewed their engagement as a trap that she did not want to be a part of, viewing love as something that should be exciting and new, unlike the life-long bond she had made with Jackson which appeared to be too comfortable and bland for her taste’s. Due to this, she eventually became quite resentful of the burden that had been placed on her shoulders with the marriage, and began to seek out other’s companies (though not too boldly) while desperately looking for a way to avoid being trapped in a marriage with her best friend. It had been agreed that she would marry Jackson on her twenty-second birthday, and so Andréa asked her parents if she could have some time of freedom before this marriage by visiting some relatives in England who were nobility. During this time, she attended all of the high class parties and became involved with the high class of England.

brief background information: katerina petrova is the firstborn child of nikolai petrov & iliana petrova. she always had her own head and was freedom-loving which meant that she only lived by her own rules. she often got away with it because she’s very intelligent and knew how to charm others. at the age of 16, katerina was engaged to a charming nobleman from russia. it was a bond of love and katerina was very intrigued by him. they started to met in secret because they weren’t allowed to see each other until their wedding in two years. eventually, katerina became pregnant by her fiance and they both were very happy by the news. however, the pregnancy didn’t stay a secret for long. nikolai petrov was furious, claiming that katerina had brought shame over the family and lost her virginity. he didn’t believe that the father of the child was her fiance and annuled the engagement because of that. the father of her child remained silent about what has happened because he wasn’t supposed to be in bulgaria and feared the consequences. katerina was allowed to stay in her family home until she gave birth, then her baby was taken away from her and she was disowned and banished to england, to a relative of the petrov’s. katerina adapted quickly and became a proper english lady (including changing her name into katherine pierce). she never gotten over the loss of her child. her main motive is to redeem herself and her status and return back to bulgaria to find her child. for that, she needs to marry into nobility, that’s why she attends the social season under a false identity with the help of her sister natalia, the ‘new’ lady of bulgaria.
