One kiss, and that was all.
They looked at each other in the darkness with brilliant eyes, saying nothing. But it was the kind of nothing that meant everything.

ohveda reblogged your post and added:
You know, I don’t know why I don’t ship Childermass and Strange. Maybe it’s because (other than that one time where Strange calls Childermass ‘magician’ and Childermass goes all gooey-eyed and smiley) I haven’t found any moments where they’ve had much romantic/sexual tension?Or maybe it’s because I ship Strange with Arabella too much to ship him with anyone else?….Well..FWIK there are people who ships characters that never had screen time together (like…Mycroft/Lestrade from Sherlock) ahah. As for me i’ve started shipping Childermass/Strange since Childers saying “Let the man do his trick.” in ep 2 ….and also Strange clearly wants Childers for himself, he even said so. ;)
I’ve thought of that … Strange/Arabella is such a strong “canon” ship it’s almost impossible to dismiss. Infact i ship them too but in my headcanon Strange is more interested in magic than anything else. A bit like Segundus, i think. And I’m rambling. Sorry. =)
No need to apologise. It’s interesting! I always like to find out why other people ship what they do.
And I can definitely see Strange being more into magic than Arabella. Now I’m intrigued to know what Strange would think if he saw Childermass perform more magic than just his “hide in the shadows” trick.
Yes, this! So much things could be explored in fanfics (like you said…what Strange would do for a chance to use those cards? mmmm..) but, alas…

Enzo and I have decided he needs to be the next Bond now Daniel Craig has announced he’s giving up the franchise. A Yorkshire Bond with Childers voice. How marvelous would that be? We need to start a campaign ❤❤

“Strange was everyone’s idea of what a magician ought to be.
He was tall; he was charming; he had a most ironical smile..”Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell - Susanna Clarke

Jonathan Strange was a very different sort of person from his father.
He was not avaricious; he was not proud; he was not ill-tempered and disagreeable.
But though he had no striking vices, his virtues were perhaps almost as hard to define. At the pleasure parties of Wcymouth and in the drawing-rooms of Bath he was regularly declared to be “the most charming man in the world” by the fashionable people he met there, but all that they meant by this was that he talked well, danced well, and hunted and gambled as much as a gentleman should.Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell - Susanna Clarke
