Breathtaking vintage photos of England, taken just weeks before World War II on August 1939, shows the peacefulness before the storm. The photos offers us a view of the past in vivid colors and lets us compare the England then with more recent image of England of our own. Sweeny Todd (barber). This is located at 152 Strand, in London. Today the location is on Fleet Street, which is now, after further research, is said to be the correct location. This photo was taken at the old location, c.1930 (roughly 100 years after the murders took place.)
