I made this card for my son-in-law's brother's wedding. The technique is from Susan Cobb's book Paper Engineering Secrets. The card makes use of lots of background papers, and some laser-cut lace trimmed off some stationery I had. I also cut out a couple of the flowers from the printed paper to mount on the lattice. The inspiration for this card took quite a while to gel and mesh together. It started with Karen Barber's color challenge: use Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral and More Mustard - a combination that is way out of my comfort zone. I started working on it last Tuesday, but I was really struggling and couldn't come up with a good idea. Each month, I challenge the members of my Stampin' Clubs to create a project for a contest and submit it to me. I assign a theme for them each month. Hiya, Crafters! Thanks for visiting. Today I am going to show you how to make a braided,, or lattice edge, card. I've seen these pop up on Pinterest and they have caught my eye. And rightly so! There are two ways to get the braid on the edge. There's a template that you can download and print out. This template requires that you attach it to your card and cut through it.
