Lots of progress on this Fall farmland with my favourite tapestry wool color palette! I really love how these colors came together in the satin stitch too. And of course I had to include a metallic thread barbed wire fence 😅 The empty dry grass field will be covered in hay bails soon enough. Take the dirt road past the apple orchard with me 🍎 The first of five aerial farmland embroidery hoops you’ll see from me this week. Smooth satin stitch fields are contrasted with rows of tapestry wool knots decorated with tiny red apple knots. I used four different types of thread to create this piece. Hope you enjoy. A closer look at my apple orchard landscape! 🍎 Tiny apples in 5 shades of red stitched meticulously onto fluffy wool trees. Wooden boxes filled to the brim with apples ready to eat! Across the highway is a field of white flowers. Here’s a closer look at this bright orange and green Fall farmland 🐑 I stitched the trees for about 3 hours straight as I was really in the zone for this piece. Of course I had to add a barbed wire fence as it’s currently one of my favourite little details to add. UK-based artist Sew Beautiful creates breathtaking landscapes using only needle, thread, and occasionally some cotton-like balls of wool to make her artwork jump out of the hoop. Her vibrant and colorful embroidered sceneries look like paintings although no paint was used in the process. She doesn‘t have to look far for inspiration as living in the picturesque countryside results in the most incredible designs.
