The first part of this movement resembles a stiff-legged deadlift. As someone with a long history of lower back issues, I’ve never felt good doing barbell or dumbbell stiff-legged deadlifts. I’ll sometimes default to a Romanian deadlift (RDL) instead, but that’s more glutes than hamstrings if we wanna get nitpicky.
