Make It Montessori 🇨🇦 on Instagram: "The sensitive period for math starts at around age 4, and it’s been super fun to dive into this subject now that Mr Four is at this stage!  Here’s a snapshot of what’s currently available on our Montessori homeschool math shelf (see second picture).  The number rods and everything on the top two shelves are for working on numbers 1 through 10.  The third shelf is for linear counting, and the bottom shelf is for the decimal system (place value). To save space, I tucked our number rods stand between our map cabinet and our math shelf—he can simply pull the stand out whenever they’re in use.
