Nicole Marte on Instagram: "Orange you glad you watched this video?? 🍊

Okay, I’m done. 🥴

The science behind the orange demo:

🍊 An orange with a peel is less dense than the water because of the air trapped inside. This causes the orange to float and be more buoyant!

🍊 When you remove the peel, the orange actually becomes more dense than the water causing it to sink.

Think of the peel as a floatie 🛟 for the orange!

I use this to introduce buoyancy and density. Try it out!
