Roman bath house

This is a good example of a Roman bath house. The colors (assumingly) are rich and elegant feeling. Lines/columns are tall and come to a roman arch at the top. The bath is the center of the room, with evenly spaced columns surrounding it.

Recently ancient Rome has been a huge source of fascination/inspiration for me so working on this project was a lot of fun. I tried to learn as much as I could about ancient Roman architectural proportions and motifs to design this. It is loosely based off a variety of Roman bath complexes throughout the ages such as the Baths of Caracalla and Diocletian. I decided not to work from a concept this time to practice my composition skills which made it daunting, but it was definitely an awesome…
