Vintage Cowan, TN Texaco

the local vinatge gas station has been preserved and now is used as a museum and tourist welcome center. This station is located near the important transportation intersection of highway US 41A before the ascent to Sewanee and the CSX train line before it begins its ascent to the Cumberland Mtn Tunnel. The station still has three gas pumps, one for sky cheif and 2 for fire chief. In the service station, the museum has a 1936 Ford and a 1950 Ford Cowan has also preserved one of it's old fire…

A combination of several design disciplines (styling, package design, product design, and graphic design), Walter Dorwin Teague's Texaco station suggested consistency, simplicity, and cleanliness -- a strong corporate identity that enabled Texaco to stand out in a highly competitive marketplace.

Texaco Gas Station Fort Worth,TX

Texaco Gas Station located at 5200 Camp Bowie Blvd. in Fort Worth,TX. The gas station is still operating, however hours are exceptionally limited. Note while Full Serve is available (at a premium price) the current offering is more comparable to "mini serve" which consists of a window wash and tire check. Note the auto care center which features (what Ive personally called the "barn" design) has remained exceptionally intact, complete with its original TEXACO lettering.
