Effect on this tree using negative space so we are using @winsorandnewton masking fluid.   ⭐️ But don’t worry … if you don’t have masking fluid you can use a white crayon, because a crayon is made of wax wherever you put it on paper it will prevent the paint from saturating the paper , creating that negative space and that’s EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT! ✨   Here is your supply list for this tree  -Masking fluid OR white crayon  -paint  -watercolor paper  -paint brush -rubber paint brush (if using masking)  -water   TIPS: Apply masking fluid as thin as possible , it will dry faster . This is a game changer for coloring 🖍️ 

First use the white crayon to color all the spaces where you don’t want Color. 

Then I used the green one all over.  The white basically repels the color! 

The color shows up very lightly on the white so you could even scrape off some of the extra color to allow more whiteness to show through!
