Otocinclus és un gènere de peixos d'aigua dolça de la família dels loricàrids i de l'ordre dels siluriformes.[2]

Morfologia

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Sud-amèrica: a l'est dels Andes i des del nord de Veneçuela fins al nord de l'Argentina.[4][5]

Captivitat

Les espècies d'aquest gènere són populars com a peixos d'aquari i, molt sovint, són comprats com a menjadors de les algues que s'hi formen.[6]
