The study focuses on revealing the expected roles of informational institutions, in all their typ... more The study focuses on revealing the expected roles of informational institutions, in all their types, in achieving the objectives of national development plans through direct and indirect references in the official documents of these plans at the global and Arab levels. The analytical study covers the content of the Arab visions of the following four countries: Egypt-Tunisia-UAE-Saudi Arabia. Among the topics discussed in the documents of the Arab visions of sustainable development: libraries-databases-information centers-information organization and system-documentation, heritage, museums ... and others. One of the most important results of the study is the absence of terms such as information institutions, information management and knowledge management in the Arab visions under study. It is worth academics and professionals to think about how to integrate information institutions into the society's social, economic, environmental and other dimensions. One of the achievements of the study is the proposed vision of the Integrated Information Institutions and National Development Plans, which reflects the interrelationships between issues related to information

The research aims at evaluating Arabic Libraries’ Web-based Catalogues in the light of Principles... more The research aims at evaluating Arabic Libraries’ Web-based Catalogues in the light of Principles and Recommendations published in: IFLA’s Guidelines For OPAC Displays (September 30, 2003 Draft For Worldwide Review). The total No. Of Recommendations reached” 38 “were categorized under three main titles, as follows: User Needs (12 recommendations), Content and arrangement Principle (25 recommendations), Standardization Principle (one recommendation) However that number increased to reach 88 elements when formulated as evaluative criteria and included in the study’s checklist.

والملاحظ عالمياً إنشاء أقسام بحثية تحت مسمى "الإنسانيات الرقمية" تتبع الكليات والمعاهد في أعرق جامعات دول العالم, هذا إلى جانب إصدار مئات الكتب والأبحاث العلمية, وتنظيم الندوات والمؤتمرات, والمبادرات البحثية...والحال في الوطن العربي يتسم بالسكون, وكم اتمنى وصفه بالملاحظة والتجربة.
إلا أن الورقة تتناول موضوعا أو تطبيقاً واحداً محدداً من بين تطبيقات الإنسانيات الرقمية, وهو تحليل النصوص الرقمية وأدواتها Textual analysis tools خاصة المتاح منها على الشبكة العنكبوتية (الويب), كما يتم إستعراض الإجراءات والعلميات السابقة للتحليل, وتشمل عمليات تكويد أو ترميز لها Text Coding, واللغات المستخدمة لهذا الغرض, والمعايير العالمية التي وضعت من أجلها. وفي سياق الخطوات السابقة نبحث عن اللغة العربية وحضورها الفاعل.
تركز الورقة على صنعة "تحقيق التراث المخطوط العربي", لتبدأ بإستكشاف تجارب وممارسات الغرب في هذا المجال فيما يتصل بالمخطوطات اليونانية واللاتينية أو غيرها من اللغات الأجنبية القديمة والحديثة, وكيف يمكن لعملية التحقيق Critical editing أن تستفيد من تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في هذا المجال من أجل تحليل النصوص وتدقيق الإصدارات والنسخ المختلفة للمخطوط الواحد سواء بلغة واحدة أو أكثر من لغة في حال المخطوطات المترجمة.
والسؤال الرئيس لورقة البحث: كيف يمكن توظيف الإمكانات التكنولوجية الحديثة في هذه الصنعة القديمة الحديثة "تحقيق المخطوطات" وما متطلبات نجاحها في بيئة العمل باللغة العربية؟ كما تسعى الورقة إلى تصميم منظومة متكاملة لتحقيق هذه الغاية التي يمكن أن تضع حلولاً نهائية لإستفسارات أسبقية حضارة أو لغة من اللغات في علم من العلوم.
وتنتهي المشاركة إلى مجموعة مقترحة من التوصيات لإدراجها ضمن الاستراتيجية الوطنية للوعي بالثقافة القانونية لمواجهة الإرهاب
