« O Minhocão » : ce surnom donné par les paulistas, les habitants de São Paulo, à un viaduc autoroutier inauguré en 1971 et fermé depuis 1989 au trafic les soirs et week-end, résume à lui seul la transformation amorcée dans la mégalopole brésilienne. Le « gros ver de terre », ainsi qu’on peut le traduire, est en effet un espace mouvant, lieu qui se meut, se mue, par l’entremise des habitants, en espace piéton où chacun peut errer, flâner, traverser l’autoroute qui serpente entre les immeubles, pour mieux l’habiter différemment. Cette reconquête piétonne permet de penser la ville, la vie, autrement, de voir le monde sous un autre angle, et ce livre se veut la trace de cette métamorphose. O Minhocão donne ainsi à voir comment la poésie a investi ce qu’il y a de plus prosaïque.


«O Minhocão» : the nickname was given by the inhabitants of São Paulo to an airborne thoroughfare inaugurated in 1971 and closed to traffic since 1989 on evenings and weekends, it sums up by itself the transformation initiated in the Brazilian megalopolis. The «big worm» - as it can be translated - is a shifting place, which turn into a pedestrian area thanks to its users, everyone can roam, stroll, cross this road which is winding through buildings to enjoy it differently. That pedestrians recapture makes it possible to consider the city, and life in a new way, to see the world from another angle, and this book is the trace of this metamorphosis. O Minhocão shows how poetry has invasted what is the most prosaic.
