Lauren Jansen | DIY on Instagram: "Simple Budget Friendly Dining & Game Table Build… some math required 😂 IYKYK This is a 48” round table, so I started with a 4x4’ piece of 3/4” plywood. I made a jig to draw a perfect circle, jigsawed, and sanded the edges before adding edge banding. Then I built a base! I used 4 total 2x4s. I started with a straight base and added & secured boards I cut at 10° around the outside! That gave me the shape I wanted & made the table super sturdy. Then came the hard part - because I wanted to wrap my base to match my inspo, I needed to do some math to cut the perfect cone shaped template. Think lamp shade shape 😂 I wrapped the base in a flexible and durable wall panel & glued it together. We did it!! Well, my wonderful husband did anyways. I have been eyeing up this table design for nearly a year and we finally pulled the trigger and got it done. We previously had a VERY large, rectangular farmhouse style table that we bought for our last house. I loved the table but just didn’t fit well in our space. We were able to sell that table on Marketplace to fully fund our new table and chairs! Our new chairs came from Poly & Bark and you can find them here…
