✨When a one syllable word with a short vowel ENDS in the F L S or Z you double that constant.✨

Here’s a phrase to help you remember it: Jeff will pass Buzz.

When do you introduce this concept?

I like to follow this scope and sequence:

1. All alphabetic letters and sounds
2. Short vowels
3. FLSZ rule 
4. -ck ending rule
5. blends
