Sarah on Instagram: "The Invisible Join is a useful technique for both knitters and crocheters.

I learned this method years ago when I first started crocheting, but I also use it to finish knitting projects worked in the round. It just gives you such a neat finish.

Written instructions:

Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle.

Insert the tapestry needle into the first stitch, off the bind-off edge, ensuring it goes under both strands.

Do not pull the yarn all the way through yet. Flip the work over so you can see the back of the stitch.

You should be able to see that the stitch has an extra horizontal strand of yarn at the back, parallel with the top strands of the stitch. (In the video, this stitch was pretty clear from the front, possibly due to the cotton yarn.)
